Beynon Alberta
BEYNON - (pronounced "Baynun"), Alberta - is a picturesque and historic place. Situated in a deeply sculpted portion of the Rosebud River valley, Beynon was established at the Springfield Ranch, founded in 1893 by Hugh "Beynon" Biggs. Today Beynon is primarily an Ecological Preserve (nature sanctuary), with hundreds of surrounding acres permanently preserved for nature. Beynon survives as a highly desireable "secluded place" in a fast disappearing wild landscape east of Calgary.
